Customers testimonies Ensibo

Melanie von Borstel – Gestion technique

The German renewable energy market represents a major strategic focus for S4E SOFTWARE, both in terms of its installed capacity and its unique structure. With more than 99 GW of installed photovoltaic capacity by the end of 2024 (according to the Federal Network Agency – Bundesnetzagentur), spread across more than 4.75 million installations and sustained growth (+12.8% per year), Germany is establishing itself as one of Europe’s leaders in solar and wind power. This mature market is characterised by a wide variety of power plants, from residential to large ground-mounted installations, and a strong federal organisation, particularly through driving forces such as Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia.

Aware of this potential, S4E SOFTWARE has implemented a series of targeted actions: launching a website in German, fully translating its web application, and strengthening the team with bilingual staff to provide local customer support.

These initiatives demonstrate our desire to establish our expertise in Germany on a long-term basis and to meet the demands of a challenging market, as evidenced by our collaboration with Ensibo, which we invite you to discover in the following interview,’ says Gaël Levesque, Sales Director at S4E SOFTWARE.

Can you tell us about your company and what you do?

Ensibo is an independent service provider for the technical management and repowering of medium-sized photovoltaic power plants in Germany. Our team of 20 people ensures that more than 300 solar power plants generate solar electricity in a safe, reliable, decentralised and environmentally friendly manner. Ensibo operates mainly in Germany.

What were your initial monitoring needs?

We want to be notified daily by our monitoring system of any anomalies/deviations. We don’t want to have to check installations that don’t have one. In addition, we want to document our troubleshooting work in a ticket system and then communicate it to our client along with the performance data.

How long have you been using Energysoft and why did you decide to use it?

We began the testing phase in September 2024 and have been working with Energysoft since 1 December 2024.

We believe that Energysoft will be a good solution for us because:

  • It allows us to configure the software ourselves.
  • It has features such as configurable ‘solar fields’, which make our work much easier
  • It replicates most of the working methods we have tested so far very well.

We also feel that S4E Software is an independent, well-structured and reliable software service provider, and we believe that we will work very well together.

How did the implementation of the application go? Did you receive any specific support for the integration?

We have not yet completed the integration. We are receiving a lot of support from S4E and have been very well assisted by Simon Bertho.
