“We wanted to centralise all our data on a single platform”

A human-scale company based in Tours, Advanced Energies has been developing, designing and building photovoltaic projects for professionals and local authorities since 2009. Over the years, this VINCI Energies subsidiary has installed over 350 solar power plants.

What was your initial need?

Before we started monitoring our power plants with Energysoft, we used the supervision platforms provided by inverter brands. However, all these interfaces were extremely heterogeneous, with disparate settings and variable alarms, not to mention the number of tabs we had to manage. At the time, our main aim was to centralise all this data on a single platform, to simplify the management of our facilities. To meet this need, we undertook an in-depth benchmark of the market.

Why did you choose S4E?

After comparing several competing solutions, Energysoft clearly emerged as the ideal choice. What particularly appealed to us were the design of the interface, the mobile application and, of course, the competitive pricing. Another crucial factor was reassurance in terms of cybersecurity.

To confirm our choice, we set up a 3-month pilot during which we switched over 3 or 4 installations of different brands. This test phase, which was very important for us, enabled our teams to try out the tool on a daily basis and to get to grips with it. The training offered by S4E was much appreciated and helped us make the most of all its features.

How far have you got with the migration?

We are currently in the process of configuring all our installations and are planning a complete migration over a period of six months. To optimise this process, we take advantage of our annual preventive visits to the installations to carry out the settings, making the transition smoother.

To sum up, our experience with S4E has been extremely positive. They were able to meet our needs in terms of supervision of our photovoltaic power plants in an efficient and professional manner.
