Software publisher S4E Software today announces the completion of a management buy-out (MBO). Having been part of the Apex Energies group since 2015, S4E Software is embarking on a new chapter in its history by becoming independent company.
Committed leadership and guaranteed continuity for customers
At the end of this transition, management becomes the majority shareholder in the company, with financial backing from UI Investissement and banking partners.
This is a major step towards ensuring the company’s long-term sustainability, with a restructuring focused on S4E Software’s core business and expansion into other markets, particularly internationally.

The human and collaborative aspect lies at the heart of this development. Keen to involve all key contributors in the organisation’s future, the management team has opened up the company’s share capital to all its employees to form the new majority shareholder block.

To successfully complete this management buy-out (MBO), S4E Software has surrounded itself with trusted financial partners. The investor UI Investissement is acquiring a stake in the company to support its development, backed by a banking pool comprising BPGO (Banque Populaire Grand Ouest) and CEBPL (Caisse d’Épargne Bretagne Pays de Loire).
UI Investissement is an independent French entrepreneurial investment fund specialising in business development, which has been actively involved in the energy and industrial sectors for over 50 years.
